Is there a way to answer iPhone without swiping?

I love my iPhone, but it is NOT car-friendly. Is there a way to answer an incoming call without having to swipe? Possibly tapping one of the other buttons? I have looked in the manual.

Thanks.

I have the same question, but for different reasons. A friend of mine is blind and he has a lot of trouble swipoing to answer the phone. The accessibility feature (VoiceOver) say a 2 finger tap will answer the call but it doesn't work reliably. I know this is an older post but was wondering if since 2013 there is now a way to answer a call without swiping.

We are users like you in this user-to-user forum. We cannot delete anything from your devices. Apple cannot either, as you are the only one who controls your data both on your phone and in iCloud (if you use it).

If you explain why you need to do this someone will try to help.

Saying "not true" to a 4 year old post is pretty much useless, as conditions were very different 4 years ago. It might help to start over and ask whatever it is you want to know. Preferably with a new post, rather than adding on to an ancient thread.

Well, maybe I will try again. Last one I tried was a Jabra, several years ago, before iPhone. Which one do you all recommend? Would certainly make for safer driving! I really do NOT talk a lot when I drive, and no texting, but would like to be able to safely answer when driving.

Well, I've been using an LG Tone. It's actually a stereo headset because I listen to a lot of music. It looks really weird but I like it a lot. I think the reason I like it is because it feels more like a "regular" headset. When driving, I just pull one side out.

Should you get one, be warned that, when the phone rings, the part that rests on your neck vibrates. Even though someone had told me about that feature, I still almost jumped out of my skin the first time it happened. .

Don't know where you are at, but in much of the US, it's illegal to use a phone while NOT using a handsfree device such as a bluetooth headset, built in bluetooth in the car, or wired headset.

I've had no real problems with any bluetooth device I've purchased in the last few years. Just avoid the ultra cheap bluetooth headsets out there. Get a decent one.

But doesn't it continually use more battery if you do that? I have had my iPhone for quite a while, and confident that I have only scratched the surface as to what it can do. Mine is a 4S and had a 4 before that, but switched when the 5 came out to 4S to get Siri, adn 4S cheaper than 5. Will try your suggestion and see what happens.

thank you.
