I currently use Final Cut Pro 7. Every-time I try to edit I am getting the spinning wheel. I edit a 30-minute show, so when I stop and try to make a change the whole project has to load the audio tracks (waveforms on or off). It doesn’t matter where I’m at in the timeline. I may get the spinning wheel for 3-5 minutes every-time it has to load the audio tracks. Any help is much needed?

Are footage is located on a 9TB video server. Mulitple computers can have access to the same footage.
No Extrenal Hard Drive.

One more thing we are using Sony XDCAM HD Camera. Recording in MPEG HD 60i if that helps
Try editing with material on a local drive. If that works fine (and I bet it will), the problem is with the video server. There are server solutions specifically configured for use with finalcutpro. Anything else is gonna be problematic.

I'll try that. Under our sequence settings in the Render options the Codec is set to Same as Sequence Codec, does that need to be changed to match the codec of our footage? Do you know anything about Xserve Raids and Promise V-Trak Raids for video servers?
