Safari uneasy on iPhone 5

Anyone noticed that if you scroll to the right or left and then without lifting your finger you cannot make a right angle turn to scroll up or down ?

Also it takes several attempts to slide at a 45º angle or even sometimes to zoom in or out

Is it just my iPhone 5 / iOS 6.1.2 ?
