forgot ipad mini password

Hi, I have followed the instructions on the previous post, but when I try to do this, it comes up with an error, 'itunes could not back up the ipad, because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter your passcode on the ipad before it can be backed up'. But I just want to restore it to get rid of the passcode. Pls help

You actually have to go to the apple store and they refresh the whole iPad mini. This will delete all apps on the iPad and delete any other information. I recommend you to get your daughter to try some other passwords she's been using and if she still can't figure it out, then go to the apple store. After your daughter either got the iPad refreshed or she figured it out I also recon,end to change to a easy remembered password. Hope this helped!
