Is there a filter for tape/vinyl noise reduction like sound soap?

I have digitized a number of cassette tapes, mostly with male voice spoken content, using Garage Band. I was then processing them through Sound Soap 2 from BIAS software. I want to do similar things with some vinyl albums.

Sound Soap no longer saves a filtered copy for some reason. BIAS is out of business, so no help there. I need to find an alternative and am wondering if I can replace the Garage Band / Sound Soap 2 tools with Logic?

I appreciate any help, but be specific, as I am neither a sound engineer or a musician.

You might want to give Audacity a try. It's an amazing audio app and it's free.

Thank you for you excellent reply. I don't know why I didn't find Audacity from my own searches. The instructions were great, although the new version of Audacity is a little different. Most amazing was how much better this works than Sound Soap for removing tape hiss and room noise. I took a wav file that Sound Soap had worked on and Audacity vastly improved this 50-year old recording. Using it on the original digitized version was even better!

Better, I actually understand how the app works, so I can do things I have avoided in the past.

You're welcome. I'm glad Audacity worked out well for you. I've used it for years but I've only scratched the surface . . . it's a pretty powerful little app.
