Mar 6, 2013 6:30 PM in response to rymotion1animationby MichelPM,What year is your iMac?
Kingston RAM is not very reliable for Macs and maybe not the right specs for Mac RAM for your model iMac.
Return it and purchase RAM here.

Mar 6, 2013 10:41 PM in response to rymotion1animationby mende1,A Mid 2010 iMac officially supports 16 GB of memory, but you can install 32 GB of memory without any problem. You can buy the memory in OWC or Crucial to get the maximum compatibility for the computer > http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/memory/iMac/2010/DDR3_21.5_27
If you need help installing the RAM, see > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1423?viewlocale=en_US#1

Mar 6, 2013 10:49 PM in response to mende1by rymotion1animation,no i just need help finding RAM, but would this be the same with the Corsair Vengence? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0076W9Q5A/ref=s9_psimh_gw_p147_d0_i2?pf_rd_m=A TVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=18RX5H390YHJKQM9Q4A8&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1 389517282&pf_rd_i=507846

Mar 6, 2013 11:00 PM in response to rymotion1animationby mende1,That memory won't work, because your iMac needs 1333 MHz RAM, and that memory is 1600 MHz RAM. Look for Crucial 1333 MHz DDR3 RAM slots

Mar 6, 2013 11:12 PM in response to rymotion1animationby John Galt,Why are you making this so difficult? Four people recommended OWC or Crucial and even provided links. Forget Corsair and Kingston. They are not known to be reliable.
Your i3 may not be able to address 32 GB. The largest configuration available from OWC appears to be 16 GB. The 32 GB option exists for the 27" i5 / i7 only. Crucial also indicates 16 GB is the maximum, so I would confirm you can use 8 GB modules in all four slots before buying anything.
This assumes your model is an iMac11,2 - that is what you need to know. There is no late 2010 iMac. The 2011 models can accept 32 GB, as well as 27" 2010 models, but the 2010 21.5" i3 is uncertain.
Contact OWC or Crucial if you need to confirm this.

Apple WatchEveryMac says that your mid 2010 iMac will only support 16GB of ram. Forget Corsair.

Mar 7, 2013 4:33 AM in response to rymotion1animationby Ralph Landry1,Macs are extremely sensitive to their ram...even when memory paging is not used, the memory modules still have to be very close in their timing and latency and other specifications. That is why John and Michel and Mike and Mende and I all gave you the same advice, advice based on years of experience. There are a couple memory suppliers who are Mac specialists, know Macs, and test their products to see that they perform correctly in Macs. The two best are OWC and Crucial, plenty of links given above.
We all have said the same thing with regard to other brands, they are not reliable and are regular sources of problems encountered on here. It is very unusual to have positive feedback from users buying ram from Amazon or eBay...we see pretty much a 100% failutre rate from users doing that.
Listen to our advice, get the amount of ram supported by your iMac, from a reliable source. There isn't much else we can tell you as the memory you now have is not working.
