. Prompted for a "password" to restore, but was not required to establish one during backup.....HELP?

Backed up my old iPhone earlier today for the first time on my PC, now trying to restore my new one but being prompted for a "PASSWORD"....however, I did not set one during backup!! HELP??

If you did not set an encryption password for the backup and it is asking for one, that indicates the backup is corrupt. Delete the backup and create a new one.

There is no way to remove the encryption password.
