Can I burn a DVD without any Theme? Just playing the video?

I recall that I could burn a DVD on iDVD without having a Theme before the movie plays. How to do that now? Before wasn't a Theme button that said NONE?

Please advise, thank you.

There has to be a theme selected but if you open the Map mode and drag your slideshow/movie into the left hand bin

User uploaded file

that slideshow/movie will begin playing immediatly when the disk is inserted into a DVD player.

However, when the slideshow/movie finishes it will drop back to the initial menu of the project.

If you want that menu to be blank select a simple theme and add a blank image, black, white, etc. to the background. Delete any text boxes that appear except for the play button. If you don't want the play button to be visible select text as the format and make it the same color as the background. You can also set the highlight color the same as the background for complete invisibility - or not. 🙂

I'm working on iDVD 7.4.0 on a PowerBook G4. When I open the working pane doesn't allow me to do anything on the background ... how do I add a black image to the entire theme? Thanx in advance.

Select a simple theme like Sage or one similar.

Next create a blank, black (or other color) image file at 640 x 480 and drag into the center bin that the cursor is in above.

Now select the menu title , Sage, and delete it giving you this:

That's what you'll see when the autoplay is finished and the project falls back into the menu.
