iTunes was interrupted while restoring Error Upgrading to iOS 5

Hello- I went to upgrade my iPad to iOS5. Everything went well and I saw it do an extensive backup before starting. After the Ipad restarted, I get this error:

iTunes was interrupted while restoring the contents of the iPad “iPad”. Would you like to restore this iPad again now?

If I choose continue, it only shows a backup from 2 years ago. I can't find the latest backup. All my data is gone. I'm using latest version of iTunes on latest version of Mac OS X.

I searched the forums, but can't find any resolution. Is this still a problem?
