Is it possible to use 85W power adapter to a MacBook Black instead of a 60W?

The 60W power adapter that came with my MacBook Black is broken and it seems it's no longer available.

My local Mac store says to use the 85W instead. I don't think so.

Your views on this is very welcome.

Many thanks in advance.

Yes, the 85W adapter from a MacBook Pro will work just fine. See this Apple article which states: "Power adapters for Intel-based Apple notebooks are available in 45W, 60W, and 85W varieties. Although you should always use the proper wattage adapter for your Apple notebook, you can use an adapter of a higher wattage without issue."

Best of luck.
