Airport turns off

Since upgrading Airport to its latest version I have not been able to keep Airport connected for long periods of time. This morning things got worse, even after resetting the PRAM which usually helps to engage it for some time, it stayed connected only for a matter of minutes. I am running 10.7.5 on a 17 inch MacBook Pro 4,1, which otherwise is very reliable. I have also reset the SMC as a part of this process of trying to correct this glitch. All help will be appreciated. Have you reset the Airport device?

Also, just to be clear I'm having trouble with Airport within my computer, not an external airport device such as Airport Express, etc. thanks again, Thomas

I did a search on your suggestion an found this - http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=887925 - I don't believe creating a new connection will make a difference especially since I did make a new connection a while ago and none of my connections are working at all. Thanks, Thomas

As this forum is for AirPort WiFi devices, I am going to request this post to be moved to the MBP area where more MBP experts may help you (who usually don't enter into the AirPort area).
