Flaw with finish around keyboard

I have had my Macbook Pro for a few months now, and I absolutely love it. It's beautiful... until now. There is a small blemish at the bottom of my keyboard, below the space and apple key, as though the finish is peeling off. Is there anything I can do to get it fixed? I know it sounds trivial and I probably sound like a dick, but I did pay 2000 dollars for this laptop, and I really would like to have it looking nice for years to come. Thanks, and btw, is their anyone else who has noticed this?

Here is a pic of what I'm talking about. Thanks again.

Yes, I had this same exact problem with my Powerbook. I can indeed vouch that this does not occur from scratching, but does seem to flake off over time. In fact once it starts getting bigger, it starts flaking off faster and faster.

However since Apple claims that they don't use any paint on the Powerbook or MacBook Pro from my experience they will replace the bezel if you bring it into the Apple Store or send it in for repairs. Its considered a defect, I believe.

Appears to be another quality control issue with Apple. I’ve had similar rub-off finish issues with my Motorola Razor cell phone but it took more than a year of heavy abuse before it started. I wish Apple would contract with Motorola for production of the MacBook series. In any event, good luck on that one.

Less than a month after they replaced the top case the paint is already becoming darker and darker at exactly the same sport than before.
The root cause is still there. It wasn't a defective top case. Of course they are likely to say that cosmetic issues are not covered by the guaranty 😟

I'm quite disappointed, I really have the feeling that I became an Apple beta tester.
