Setting large quotas in 10.6 / Dovecot?

More and more I'm having users on various Mac OS X mail servers I administer that I'd like to give more mailbox space to w/o making them completely unlimited. In 10.6, any WGM setting over 4096MB results in the quota being shown as 0 (none) in SA and also unlimited ("0S") in Dovecot's maildirsize file. Is there a way to work around this and set a quota of, say, 8GB/8192MB?

Also, can anyone describe the process that occurs for settings in WGM for quota to make it to Dovecot? Reason I ask is I'm wondering if WGM is responsible for assuming ">4096" to be "unlimited", or if some component along the way is unable to handle an input larger than 4096 from WGM.

Thanks for any suggestions,

Fred
