I tried to create a graph in powerpoint but somehow all the data numbers are locked and bolded. I can't enter or change the number in the data sheet by inputting from my keyboard except by copy and paste it from some other file. It worked totally fine 2 hrs before. I tried restarting powerpoint and my MBP but it still acted the same. I copied that slide and sent it to my friend and there was no problem on his computer. I wonder if anyone experienced this problem? BTW, I am using MS office 2004...
I have the same issue since getting a MacBook Pro and upating my Office 2004 with the latest security update. Not sure if it is the MacBook Pro or the Office update since I did both at the same time. Another post on this site said it could be an Intel Mac issue. A serious issue for me as I need to do graphs for work all the time. Have you found a work around? I can't add, edit or cut and paste any data into the data sheet.
I was wondering if anyone has discovered a fix for this issue? I am running the latest version of Tiger and MS Office on the MBP as well. I can do the cut and paste, but this is really a pain in the neck. I convinced my friend to make a $3000+ switch and we are running into problem after problem, this just being one of many (I've rarely had a problem with my own PB).
I have this same problem on my Core 2 Duo iMac. Reinstalling office worked for a day or so, but then the problem came back. It doesn't seem to happen on my G5 iMac. I would say that this is an Intel problem, but it works some of the time, so that doesn't make so much sense to me.
