Tried the steps enabling root and then repair disk permissions, but "Insecure Startup Item disabled." still pops up after reboot.

Try the steps as provided however it doesn't work.

For my case there was no items found in StartupItems at all.

I'm using OS 10.8.2

Any help?

MacBook Air (11-inch, Mid 2012), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)
