Will Mid 2011 iMac with Core i5 processor accept 8GB RAM sticks? Or only 4GB?

Will mid 2011 iMack with i5 core processor accept the 8GB memory sticks? Or do you really have to use 4 4GB sticks to max it out to 16GB?

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2), 8GB Memory Sticks?
