AppleTV does not show my Itunes music

I just installed Apple TV and have my computer setup for home sharing and all features on. The only music that shows on my conputer is music that was purchased, nothing that was uploaded via CD. Is there a setting that I am missing somewhere? In fact, my Apple TV shows all downloaded from Itunes music, but my Itunes only shows uploaded music. Help please.
