Lost sound driver after installing airparrot

I have a 2009 Macbook pro running mountain lion. I downloaded this program called Airparrot to stream my screen to my apple TV. While streaming it asked to download Airparrots sound drivers so I did. No im able to get sound on my TV while streaming and sound if I plug in headphones to the headphone jack but No sound trough my internal macbook speakers. If I go into system preferences there is no option for internal speakers.

I think when I installed Airparrots audio it deleted the internal speaker driver.

I tried restoring the system and still nothing

How do I get my internal speaker option back ??

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

AirParrot seems to cause lots of problems.

Try the suggestion written in the last post of this thread.

Reset PRAM. http://support.apple.com/kb/PH4405

Reset SMC. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964

Choose the method for:

"Resetting SMC on portables with a battery you should not remove on your own".

Applications/Utilities/ Audio MIDI Setup.app

Audio Devices window

Side Bar

Click the Built-in Output.

Under Mute any of the boxes checked?

If so, uncheck it.

Dominic has given you excellent advice, as always.

I just found this out recently, so I thought I'd pass it along. AirParrot works on 2011 Macs and newer.

Also, have you gone into your System Preferences > Sound and checked there if "Internal Speakers" are highlighted.
