So long story short... i reset an admin password at work. it delinked all the keychain passwords. So i reset them. When i restarted teh computer it is now no longer connected to another computer that i need access to. How to i reconnect the computers?

When you open your finder do you see any computers in the left (sidebar) if yes then click on the computer you would like to connect to then sign in with your user name and password.
Yes it is there but when i click on it it opens to a dropbox folder? usually i'm connected to the computer and can acsess it's folders but the only thing showing up is the dropbox folder and there's nothing in it?
On this one In finder, select Go menu>Connect to Servers..., type in afp://ip.of.another.computer, like...
afp://10.0.1.5
afp://192.168.1.3
Or if it's a PC...
smb://10.0.1.5
smb://192.168.1.3
Or use the Browse button there.
I did and it will not accept my password. but it is trying to logon the the correct server
Go to the other computer and make sure you are authorized to log on. Check the user name and password.

Are you trying to connect to a Mac or PC?
So when i click on the server on the left. normally i would see the HD and a folder called snoozy. I would click on snoozy and woul dhave access to that server. Now i click on the server on teh left and it shows only snoozy folder. When i click on that it shows a dropbox folder.
On the other Mac click on the system preferences and then click sharing, it should be on then click the file sharing an see if your user name is in the box as a user. If not click the plus sign and add your user name and password. Then give it a try.
i looked in the system preferences under sharing. It had the documents and web documents clicked. but there's no "users" list or button. I'm not the only user that should have access to that computer so there should be several names listed some where...

so this computer that i'm trying to connect to is older... it's a 10.4.6 the system preferences doesn't look like that exactly. I went back to look and it's not showing any users... now looking at the other computers that are connted not as individuals but as that computer... so now i'm thinking i have to get the password for that computer?
