How can I get my G4 see my MacBook Pro on a network?

I have a new MacBook Pro running Mountain Lion networked with a Gigabit G4 running Tiger an network with the MacBook Pro via an ethernet connection through Airport Extreme. All the related hardware (Printers, Scanners,etc.) is networked and works flawlessly. On the MacBook Pro I can access all the files on the G4 when I changed the permissions on the G4. However I cannot get the G4 to access the files on the MacBook Pro. While I could move any files I want manually I would rather have direct access. Any suggestions?

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2), 8 GB memory 750 GB hard drive

What permissions did you change?

I went to the "get info" windows and gave read and write permissions to all users. It worked mon the G4 but not on the MacBook Pro.

When logging into the MBP from the G4, are you using the MBP's username & MBP's Password?

When I saw your question I checked and I did have the G4 user name for logging into the MBP.However, I didn't see a password in KeyChain Access in the MBP for the G4 username so I reset the password to the G4 username and now I can connect. Thanks for the tip.
