I never set a restriction password on my Ipod touch and it is set to on by default. Now when I want to switch it off it keeps asking for a password. I tried using 0000 as a default password as mentioned by many people here but even that is not working. What can i do to restore it? So i have to restore my whole Ipod?

You have to set to Factory Default (setup as new) to remove the Restriction Code.
If you do not have backup, data will be lost.

Too late to take a backup.
Backup should be taken before you enable the Restriction Code.
Thanks people!! Actually i tried some random passwords i have been using & one of them worked which i must have set only during the initial registration of my new ipod, because i didnt use that password ever for my ipod so people who are having problem must try their frequently used passwords.
You never know one of them might work & will save you the tedious task of resetting your ipod or iphone.
i did the same thing of trying random numbers right now and my phone is in the middle of re setting didnt think it would but reading this actually helped so thanks
