How do I speed up the playback of automator apps between actions?

Hello,

Just playing around with automator to fix some little annoyances I have. But question: How do I speed up the playback of the actions? I know how to do it if I record my actoins with the Watch Me Do function... But how about just between actions I grab from the library? Right now I have a script that runs all fast except for the last step which is a quit application command. There's 3 second lag or so... How do I speed that up?

In general, an action takes as long as it takes - there can be a variety of things happening in the background. The Quit Application action sends commands to the specified application, so mostly it depends on how fast the application does its thing.
