I was already to buy one of these and then I have read that it is not possible to wall mount the iMac. Is this true? Is there no way of wall mounting and is there ever likely to be?
If it is true that you can not wall mount it I wonder how many sales Apple are losing?

I would guess that Apple's not losing many sales over it. More people seem to complain about the lack of an internal optical drive.
Hi Thanks. Yes had read this but I wanted to check wether there was a none VESA standard solution? I dont understand why they would make something that can not be wallmounted.
They might not be losing many sales but they have lost one. I am going to buy an old one from eBay that I can wall mount!!

That only applied to new orders, though. It cannot be retrofitted to any existing Mac.

Thanks. Tracked it down and ordered one yesterday. But they keep it well hidden. The only way to find it is using Google, which is ironic! In case anybody else from the UK reads this post the link is

This thread hasn't been active in 3 years. Please don't revive dead threads. Also, you still have to buy the iMac with the VESA adapter instead of the standard iMac in order to use this.
