Airplay Mirroring does not display in menu bar. Mirroring will work for music video on Macbook, but nothing that has to stream in (iCloud, YouTube).
Is there a way to make it work for streaming media?
Is there a way to display the screen for presentation purposes?
I saw the reference to Airplay only working for late 2011 Macbook Air machines, and checked my serial number to confirm that mine is a late 2010.
The strange thing is that it DOES WORK for music video and movies where the file is found on my Macbook Air, but will NOT WORK for music videos that stream in from iCloud.
Doesn't that seem strange?
Your machine doesn't support "Mirroring" (displaying whatever is seen on your computer to your Apple TV).
Your machine does support "Airplay" (playback of videos and music via iTunes to your Apple TV).
