Wall Mount imac27 late 2012

Someone posted a thrid-party solution last week but I can't find it now. Still, search this forum for VESA and that post might turn up. I do remember the poster using the VESA monicker when talking about a wall-mount, so that's the search parameter to try.

I recall seeing one a couple of months ago after searching for it with Google. If I remember, it wasn't a true VESA mount, but instead attached to the metal base of the iMac.

The stand on the new 27in iMac's is not user removable. The bracket goes into the case and is attached from the inside.

On the older iMac's the stand was help in place with a clip that once removed allowed the stand to be removed.

As the stand can;t be removed on the New iMac's there is no way to mount the mac on the wall.

Note any hack that shows the user how to remove the stand will in all likelihood void the warranty.

Not the ideal solution, IMHO, as the iMac stand will be visible below.

But it's the only solution I've seen thus far.

Unfortunately that doesn't help current owners. It is only available for newly purchased iMacs.
