Getting out of recovery mode without loosing data?
My Iphone 3 has got into recovery mode for some unknown reason. Is there a way to reset it withoyt loosing data?

I have realized that, but my backup is very old, and I had quite a lot of photos stored.
So, what I meant was a way to reset the phone to its previous state - not in recovery mode. As far as I know no action has been taken to put it in recovery mode - and I just want it back where it was.
Or - is there a way to recover photos from the phone memory after completeing the recovery?

Recovery mode means its photos are already gone.
The pictures you took with your iPhone are like any other pictures you take with any digital camera. They do not become "stored" anywhere else, unless you store them there.
