My daughters Ipod touch 4th generation will not charge. I tried with the computer, her dock, and wall. It will not reconize it. When I put it on the dock, it reconizes to play music but will not charge. Thank you.

If the battery requires replacing, then take it to Apple and purchase the replacement:

- Inspect the dock connector for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.
- Make an appointment at the Genus Bar of an Apple store.
