logic pro installation from disks with key does not work can anybody help me?

My hard disk crashed and now I have to install Logic again. I bought it ten years ago and after that all the updates.

Now I am installing the latest version Logic Pro 9 and I have put the white Logic KEY in the computer and I give the the serial number of the last update but now the pop up window tells me in it is the wrong number. What number should I enter to get ot working?

The route would be to reinstall logic 7 first... The logics key is for logic 7.

Then use your upgrade discs to logic 9.

Logic 7 will only install onto snow leopard or earlier.

Phij,

I used Pacifist to install Logic 8 onto ML.

I believe it requires the rosetta package to run the installer, like Logic 7.

Pacifist negates that.

My LP 8 runs fine on ML.
