I am able to sync new appointments from Calendar on MacOSX 10.8.2 to my iPhone 4S running iOS 6.1.2, but I can't sync a new appointment entered on the iPhone Calendar to the Mac's Calendar.
I have iCloud turned off and I use iTunes to do my sync using the connecting USB cord. What am I doing wrong?
If you are trying to sync your calendar with your Mac using iTunes and it isn't syncing both ways, try resetting the SyncServices folder on your Mac as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1627, then try syncing again.

Thank you. I carefully followed directions and it worked. I did have to re-enter settings on the iTunes side, but it worked perfectly the first time.

I'd previously set up icloud out of curiousity, then after finding a few issues I didn't like, promptly went about trying to remove it.
I thought I had, until I tried to change which calenders I could sync to my iPod through iTunes, and nothing new was syncing onto the ipod (you can imagine the frustration born from a lingering problem)... until I reset SyncServices as you suggested and ejected and replugged my ipod.

Hi, I followed all instructions on the "Resetting Sync Services" article, trying both the Sync menu and the terminal. Neither solved the problem. I'm running 10.7, trying to sync with an iPhone 5s running 8.1.2. My calendars aren't syncing but I sure am sinking! Contacts sync just fine. Help?
