Q: Hi, my ipad 3rd gen is running on ios 5.1.1 ,but i cant find personal hotspot feature. Do i need to upgrade to ios 6 to have personal hotspot feature.

I live in indonesia, recently i notice in my friend ipad3 whic running ios 6.1.2 they have a personal hotspot feature. Since then i ve benn searching that feature in my ipad 3 which runnning on ios 5

Im willing to upgrade to ios 6 if thats the problem however seeing there is many issues with ios6, i want to make sure that the problem is with the ios and not the carrier.
