Connect to Mac/PC and do a hard reset. Hold Shut Off button and Home button until Apple logo appears.

Hey guys,

I tried all the technique above and none worked.

I use an iphone 4s and the screen suddenly went dark and unresponsive. I can receive call via my bluetooth, and I can even hear messages come in and connecting it to itunes prove abortive because it is requring me to accept the connection on the phone whereby the phone screen has been lock

Solution: Out of frustration I held down the Power Button+VolumeDown+Home Button for about 15secs and voila! It was restarted.
