Have tried to use my iP5 as an iPod touch but not able to activate via wifi or itunes. the sim card has been deactivated by phone provider as I have a new iP5.
Anyone able to help with this?
You should not need an active SIM in the phone to activate it. However, a SIM card is needed, even if it is not active. Is your deactivated SIM still in the phone? If not could you swap the SIM with your new phone?
Yes the deactivated SIM is still in the phone. It worked fine before I upgrades to OS6 then it seems to have deactivated it altogether.
