Q: WIFI password and network name

i have wifi working fine but need to change the network name and password protect my wifi.

MacBook Air (13-inch, Mid 2012), iOS 6.1.2

    Which device are using to configure the AirPort Express?

     

    If it is the MacBook Air, what operating system is it running?

     

    If you are not sure, click the Apple icon in the upper left corner of the screen, then click About This Mac. Post back with the OS X Version number that you see there.

    hi bob.,

    I am having a netgear wireless router and the provider is at&t. As of now I am using the default network name.. Understand that apart from apple routers., airport utility wont display any other routers. In my case what should I do to get my network name changed. Pls help. I tried typing my IP address..but no help.. ! Appreciate your valuable ideas to get it solved.!

    I am using OS X Version 10.8.4
