What AirPort router are you using? What OS X release are you on?
Try opening up AirPort Utility, head to Edit>Wireless and change the password. I'll post a screenshot when I get back to my Mac.
Firstly, you need to install AirPort Utility 5.6.

Then, open it up. Click Manual Setup and head to Wireless.
"Wireless Network Name" is the name, "Wireless Password" and "Verify Password" are the password. "Wireless Security" should be WPA/WPA2 Personal.

I am having a netgear wireless router and the provider is at&t. As of now I am using the default network name.. Understand that apart from apple routers., airport utility wont display any other routers. In my case what should I do to get my network name changed. Pls help. I tried typing my IP address..but no help.. ! Appreciate your valuable ideas to get it solved.!
