Cant use facetime on 5th gen.

Hey guys my husband and i just bought an ipod 5th gen and an ipad mini and we can seem to get the facetime to work on the Ipod 5th gen. We also have one Iphone 4 and an ipod 4th gen. The facetime works on the iphone ipod 4th gen and Ipad mini. They all use the same email so i dont know if maybe that has something to do with it, but if someone could please try and help me it would be great.
