Kernel Panic/crash log How do I read this ? What's the problem ?

Download and use Find Any File to search for those items that ~Bee listed. FAF can search areas that Spotlight can't, like system folders, invisible folders, and packages.

UPDATE: OK so I was able to find and uninstall eveything questionable that was listed. I also upgraded to the latestest version of OS X (10.8.3) BUT I'm still having the prob. Although now rather than my screen darkening as it did before and giving me the error message that I need to shut down, my system just shuts down immediately. I'm also no longer given the option of reporting the crash to apple when it boots back up either so I have no type of log to copy and paste here for show.

One thing I was thinking of that may be causing this problem. I recently purchased this system from eBay. This system is a quad core i7 whereas my old system was a duo core i5. More importantly, and what I feel may be contributing to my issue my old graphics card was the NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M with my new one being listed as an Intel HD Graphics 3000.

NOW the reason why I think it may be an issue with the graphics card is that when I upgraded systems I simply switched my old HD out into the new one so I didn't need to reinstall everything from scratch. Could there be anything on my old HD that is still looking for the NVIDIA card? Drivers? Something else? Maybe this is causing a conflict with the new graphics card?

I also did the same thing with the RAM so could this be an issue as well maybe? Do all of the recent model MacBooks take the same type RAM?

Try reinstalling the original RAM and test.

That would be a problem. I've already sold my old system with that original RAM from this sytem.

You can view the kernel panic logs in the Console app.

Look under System Diagnostic Reports in the Log list. They should be in that folder.

RAM problems manifest themselves in Kernel Panics with varying locations in the system, ie the panic logs don't have much in common. I'd recommend using Rember to check the RAM. Macs are extremely picky about RAM. The OS drives the RAM to the limits of its specification, so if you go cheap, you get crashes. The RAM requirements may very well be different between those two models, but I don't know for sure. If you select About This Mac, the memory section will tell you what is required.

Pulling the Drive out of one Mac and putting it into another could also be the problem. It may not have the necessary components, or updated components, required for your new Mac. You can reinstall the OS using the Recovery HD. That should make sure it has the right components for your configuration. It should not affect your data, but you should still have a reliable backup just in case.

From what I could determine googling, you need PC-10600, 1333MHz DDR3 RAM.

My choices for good RAM are Crucial, OWC, and MemoryTen. Use their configurators to choose the correct RAM for your Mac.

Wouldn't the install of 10.8.3 I just completed fixed any issues that may have been due to the OS, components, and configurations then?

Also I downloaded and ran "Rember" and it seems my current installed RAM is 1067MHz as opposed to the 1333MHz this system calls for. Please tell me if I'm reading this incorrectly from the image below.

And finally should I consider moving the following items to the trash that "Find Any File" discovered remaining on my system from NVIDIA?

From what I could tell, you need 1333 MHz RAM and the 1067 would likely be a problem.

I don't know where those files came from. They may be part of the system. Unless you know you installed them, leave them alone.

That's why I suggested determining what you installed and use the developer's uninstaller to uninstall them. Searching the hard drive for names that look suspect will only get you in trouble deleting something that is part of the system.

Also since it seems I may be needing to order new RAM now, does anyone know, or how can I determine myself, what the maximum amount of RAM allowed in this system is?

The Memory tab of About this Mac will tell you.

However, the memory vendors sometimes have info that while Apple suggests one amount, more can be installed and accessed.

Also, EveryMac.com has info on every Mac. They will also list any discrepancies between what Apple originally stated when the Mac was released and what has been successfully tried. Note that some of the older Macs, the Max memory has changed with Mountain Lion. The original shipping specs had one amount, but About This Mac showed it could take twice as much as the original specs.
