MacBook Pro 2012 suddenly won't power up

My mid 2012 MacBook Pro just developed a strange power problem, won't power up at all. None of TS1365 above helps. The magsafe adaptor works fine on another Macbook. On the new MBP the green light slowly dims, and there are no lights showing at all for the battery when its button is depressed. Is this an Apple Store visit required?

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

8. If you are still unable to start up your computer after trying each of these steps, schedule a service appointment with an Apple Retail Store or an Apple Authorized Service Provider. If you plan to visit an Apple Retail store, make a reservation at the Genius Bar using http://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar/ (available in some countries only).

Looks that way, sorry

Try SMC Reset

and

Try Pram reset (Try it a few times to get correct key selection)

Sorry to be so blunt but if the system doesn't turn on you have 2 choices.

1) Take it in for repair or replacement.

2) Use it as an expensive door stop of large paper weight.

Good Luck & Best Wishes.
