Motorola software update window
MacBook, Mac OS X (10.7.5)
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
First of all, press the "Skip This Version" button, so that window won't appear anymore. Then, if you don't need that application, just delete it. Most of the apps can be uninstalled just dragging them to the Trash.
To do it, open Finder, select "Applications" in the sidebar, and drag the Motorola application to the Trash. If the application came with an uninstaller, use it
Hi,
thank you for your answer
the problem is that if I check in my application list it is not there
In that case, you didn't uninstall it correctly. Go to System Preferences > Users and Groups > Login Items, and check if the Motorola app is listed. If it is, select it and press the - button, so that window won't show up when you start the MacBook
In that case, you have to remove it manually. Open Finder, select Go menu (on the menu bar) > Go to Folder, and type /Library/StartupItems
Then, in that folder, delete all the files related to Motorola
Go to this folder instead: ~/Library/StartupItems
Have you tried to install that update? This should install the application again. Apart, you can find the correct steps to uninstall that app in this page > https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/74466/~/how- do-i-uninstall-motocast%3F
Well, I have installed it, but it does not appear in the applications list and neither in Login items.
Just to double check I have rebooted and now the Motorola window does not appear anymore
That's because you pressed the "Skip This Version" button. Follow the steps of the link I gave you in order to uninstall that application completely
