help please...

I can not update iMovie and iPhoto and supposedly factory installed what do I do? , See "To update this application, log in with the account you used to buy it." but if you can update iTunes and sotfware updates. help please..

First of all, did you buy a second-hand Mac? If you bought a second-hand Mac, iPhoto and iMovie are registered to the Apple ID of the old owner, so you can't update them.


If you haven't got a second-hand Mac, first see > http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4236 If it doesn't work, probably iMovie and iPhoto are hidden, so you have to unhide them > http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4928 Then, after unhiding them, you will be able to update these applications
