When I try to email(share) (photo stream) from my mac pro to an email account it tells me to check the server.I am using an aol acct.

Does it only happen with this one email address? If it works with other email addresses, it is likely something to do with that paticular email address.

Open iPhoto, go to Preferences>Accounts and enter the correct server details for AOL therein.
