iTunes 11 freezes my mac
I have Mac OSX 10.6.8, and use iTunes 11 (I recently updated through Software Update, but the problem started before the update... I cannot remember exactly what new version of iTunes I have, but I'm up to date).
Recently, iTunes has been freezing my mac completely. I open it, and cannot even start to play music, it eventually freezes all the system and I have to reboot it. I already did the Repair Permissions part, renew the .plist (I didn't do any prebinding because it supposedly not needed in these new OS X, and couldn't quite figure out how to force it through Terminal), and reset the NVRAM.
Does anyone has any idea what the **** is happening? Is there a way I can re-install iTunes? Could that work?
I'm running out of ideas and patience here. I manage a medium-large library (~10,000 songs), so using another software is almost out of the question.
