I have details and photos in my address book on my iMac computer that I would like to syc with my iPhone 5 - How do I do this?

If you have an iPhone 5 running iOS 6.1.2, you will not be able to sync with your Mac until you update your Mac to OS X 10.6.8, and then update iTunes to 10.7 or greater.
Once you do what wjosten's suggests you can start iCloud on both devices and have your contacts updated and synced on both devices.
I did have all addresses downloaded through icloud when I first purchased my iphone 5 but since then I have attached various photos to people in my address book on my imac and would now like those details to be shown on my iphone.

I have icloud turned on with both my iphone and my imac and still need to know how to update the details in address book on my iphone as I have added photos to people in my address book on my computer and would like to see them on my iphone.
Contacts are correct on your Mac, correct? Login to iCloud.com, they correct there? If so: Turn off iCloud contacts on your phone. You'll be prompted to keep on your phone or delete. Select delete. Wait a few minutes, then turn contacts back on.
I have looked at address book in icloud but it does not show all the new details, photos etc,. that I have added into my address book on the imac computer, so the only complete address book is at present only on my computer.
Address Book>Preferences>General>Default Account...what is selected here?
Default Account: On My Mac
Change it to iCloud.
I would like to know how to update the details in my address book on my iphone from details already in address book on iMac computer
