My macbook was stolen. How to retrieve back up of iWeb?

My macbook was stolen. I use time machine so have a back up. How do I open my domain (website) in iweb to continue to update it on my imac?

I have gone to time machine back up - Library/Application suport/iWeb/ and can see Domain.sites2

When I click on it get the message - The document "Domain.sites2" could not be opened

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

The problem that I'm running into is that the only dates that i see relate to the time machine back ups on the imac - not my macbook pro - on the right hand side of the time machine view. Because I have not used my imac the last back ups were in 2012. So unable to select in the latest back up date relating to the macbook.

Then realised that I external drive I use for time machine is partitioned - iMac and macbook . So when I am in time machine can see both partitions. The when I eject the iMac partition I am unable to open Time Machine - "the current Time Machine backup disc can't be found"

So turned Time Machine off (so would not automatically backup) - Selected macbook partition. Clicked on Time machine and nothing happens - will not open at all.

When i google more I see migration assistance - I don't want to move everything over from the back up of the macbook (there is not enough space on my imac) - only the iWeb info at this stage. When read throught the instructions there http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4413 not sure what to select to only get iweb - don't see any library. Would it be Sites that I should select?

Continuing from above - restarted imac. Went back into Time machine and am only able to select today's date - because (I think) it does not have any backups for the imac on the macbook partition.

Seems that Time Machine cannot be used to retrieve data from a different machine. I am able to see all my documents and photos (saved in Pictures) - and open them on the iMac. In this case not using Time Machine to retrieve the data - going via the pages or numbers etc.

Try this:

1 - download Find Any File.

2 - launch FAF and select your Time Machine volume for your Macbook.k

3 - start a search for Domain.site2. It will take a while due to the complexity of the TM organization.

4 - select the latest Domain file from the FAF search results window and drag to your Desktop.

5 - put the file in your Users/Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder and launch iWeb.
