I have a Ipad mini and I am looking for a cable to go from my ipad to an Epson xp 400 printer, any ideas

The iPad only support printing via WiFi. There is no way to connect a printer to your iPad directly via cable. The Epson XP 400 supports AirPrint, the native printing mechanism in iOS, so all you should need to do is set up your printer to your WiFi network. For more details on AirPrint, see:
