Need Files From My iPod Classic Hard Drive But Says Its Corrupted Cant See My iPod!!! Important Files on it!!!

Hello,

I have an 80GB iPod Classic that I use as a external hard drive as well with lots of work files and woke up this morning to find out that all of a sudden my iPod is corrupt and need some important files from the hard drive of the iPod ASAP. I don't care about the music etc just the work files and need them well of course like yesterday! Doing a Restore will whipe it out so what can I do.
