I do not have an HDMI connection on my MacBook Pro. Is there a Thunderbolt to HDMI adapter?

How do I connect my laptop to my HDTV? My MacBook Pro does not have an HDMI connection. My TV has one HDMI connection and one VGA connection.

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

You can use a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter to connect the MacBook Pro to a HDMI cable, that is connected to the TV. Your MacBook with Thunderbolt works with Thunderbolt and Mini DisplayPort

Thunderbolt and Mini DisplayPort use the same connector. That's why I told you to buy a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter, because you will be able to connect it onto the Thunderbolt port of your Mac. Note that Thunderbolt is the same as Mini DisplayPort but with data transfer compatibility.

You shouldn't need another cable to get sound to the TV
