is a cracked screen on the ipod touch covered by the warranty?

I recently bought the new ipod fifth generation in december and a few days ago i dropped it and now there is a crack going diagonally across the screen. I know that the warranty doesnt cover damages caused my liquid but i would like to know if it covered cracks in the screen.
