Unable to move songs on iPod shuffle

Hello- I used to be able to change the order of songs on my shuffle. The last several versions of ITunes I'm not able to do it. I have tried turning shuffle off and clicking on the box next to the Name field as advised but, it still not working. With this last version of iTunes 11.02.26. is an arrow after the song that gives you the option to: play next, add to up next. Please advise. Thank you.
