Questions about restoring iphone .. need help

I wonder if anyone can help me please?

I'm currently using an iphone 4s. I've never plugged it into my laptop as it hasn't been working. The laptop is now fixed. Problem is that I've an old iphone 3gs that is in restore mode. If I connect the 3gs to itunes what will happen? Will it effect anything on my 4s?

I don't want to loose anything on my 4s but the 3gs I've no use for apart from it had old photos which I guess are lost now.

To answer your question precisely: If you continue not connecting your iPhone 4S to your iTunes - iTunes will not be able to modify any part of your iPhone 4S regardless whether you connect your iPhone 3GS to iTunes or not.

Your iTunes 3GS will take all the contents of your current iTunes library after you plug the device to your PC and exit from recovery mode. The same will happen with your iPhone 4S should you choose to connect it with your iTunes on your PC.
