Cecilio CEVN-2BK electric violin to GarageBand

I have a Cecilio CEVN electric violin that I've been trying to connect to GarageBand to record. GarageBand doesn't pick up the sound from the violin, and when I go to System Preferences to change the sound input from 'built-in microphone' to 'line input', the option isn't available. Can someone help?
